Formerly the performance division of the Volkswagen Group’s Spanish car maker Seat, Cupra was spun off into its own brand in 2018. It launched in Australia in 2022 with the Leon hatch and Ateca and Formentor SUVs, sold at fixed prices, with petrol and hybrid power options.
